Stanford athletic director Bob Bowlsby is the new commissioner of the Big 12 Conference. The appointment was announced late Thursday afternoon. Bowlsby, 60, has been the STanford A-D the past six years. He replaces the interim commissioner, Chuck Neinas. Bowlsby begins his new job on June 15th. The Big 12 now has ten schools with new members TCU and West Virginia joining the field.
