The Detroit Tigers won three out of four games at Comerica Park this week against the Los Angeles Angels after a 5-1 victory Thursday afternoon. Max Scherzer pitched eight strong innings to get the victory. Miguel Cabrera hit his 21st homer and Alex Avila hit his 6th. The Tigers now have a 49-44 record and host the division leading Chicago White Sox for three beginning Friday night with Justin Verlander pitching the series' opening game for Detroit.
