His ankle never fully healed and Magglio Ordonez has had enough. At age 38, he'll announce his retirement in Detroit Sunday prior to the Tigers game against the Yankees. He will also be honored in pre game ceremonies. Ordonez played 15 years in the majors and helped the Tigers into the 2006 World Series. He won the American League batting title weith a .363 average the next year. He's a six time all star, but he only managed 92 games last year because of his ankle.
