Barrett Serratto touched Michigan State pitcher Tony Bucciferro for a grand slam home run in the 4th inning Friday leading Purdue to a 6-2 Big Ten baseball win over the Spartans. Bucciferro pitched the entire game in West Lafayette, Indiana. The blast eliminated a 1-0 MSU lead. The Spartans scored another in the 9th inning but it was too little. Purdue improves to 13-3 in league play, 33-6 overall. MSU is now 7-6 in the Big Ten and 26-14 on the season. The teams meet againi at 2pm Saturday and 1pm on Sunday. Purdue is trying to win its first Big Ten regular season title since 1909. The Spartans are defending champs.
