MSU Loses Assistant Basketball Coach

Western Michigan has named 43-year old Shane Clipfell as its new women's head basketball coach. Clipfell has been the top assistant to Suzy Merchant for the past 14 years-- nine at Eastern Michigan and the last five at Michigan State. Clipfell is a native of Niles, Michigan and WMU has not had a winning women's season since 2004. No replacement at MSU has been named.
