A young man died in a car accident early Tuesday morning in Norvell Township, Jackson County.

The crash occurred on Austin Road near Buss Road shortly after 6:00 am Tuesday, when a vehicle crossed the center line, and was struck by a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

The driver of the vehicle that crossed the center line was pronounced dead at the scene, and the driver of the oncoming car was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Weather, and icy road conditions are considered factors in the accident, and the Michigan State Police Post of Jackson is continuing to investigate the accident. Stay tuned to WILX.com and News 10 for more information as it becomes available.
