As an adult, I knew the father when he was a child. He was a terrible bully that often terrorized the youngest children in the neighborhood, was often in trouble at school himself. The neighborhood felt sorry for his parents, especially his mother. Sad to say that the apple didn't fall far from the tree. The son is exactly like his father. This is exactly the kind of behavior the father displayed as a child, teen, and young adult. I hope justice prevails.

Perhaps Pervis should have had the police remove this student from the middle school grounds - then he couldn't sue for being "shoved" off the property. There is a reason middle schoolers and high schoolers are seperated. What a terrible lesson this parent is teaching their son - This kid needs to do some self-reflection. Parents need to stop enabling their kids to make excuses for their behavior. Their should be some humility in disobeying authority.

Welcome to another trial in the "Court of Public Opinion". Don't wait for all the facts to be heard and investigated. Rush right into an opinion based on 2nd. or 3rd-hand accounts, along with gossip and hearsay. I'm surprised WILX didn't have their reporter pounding on Mr.Purves' door. Sound familiar? It's a scenario far too common in our society, fueled by over zealous TV reporting, Social Media, cell phone pics, tweets and Facebook. I'm sure the Investigating Officials in St. Johns will do a thorough job and reach their conclusion based on fact..... despite our help!

Thank you for standing up to bullies. I appreciate you making the campus safe for my children that attend the middle school.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Without reading the story, my first assumption about this family is white yuppy trash with no respect for authority. The first assumption i have with both of them is that they will be lying. If you are going to expect respect from others, you need to show some. The slouch look on the couch shows they respect noone. The folded hand indicates that they are not interested in anything but themselves. The wearing of the hat indoors indicates that they do not respect simple chilvary. The looking to the left indicates they are either fabricating parts of the story. The father has better skills of not looking to the left.

Maybe if more of these little punks started getting there little tails whipped they'd learn some respect and stop acting like fools in school. Teachers and principals don't have control anymore because they don't have the authority to discipline.

Poor little sissy got pushed. Wonder why there is no discipline in schools? Parents won't allow it so there are a bunch of un-behaved kids disrupting others who want to learn. The rubber hose didn't kill me and I can still name all of the bones in the body from the science class that I took from a teacher not afraid to use it! And, I did deserve it!

By reading the comments seems to be this kid has some issues with bullying and authority. We as parents need to teach our kids respect and that we are responsible for our actions! Shame on WILX for airing this story and shame on them for showing his house! Come on. Are you that desperate for a news story!

How about the irate parents he deals yeap i am one of them; how does he do well; you have my attention never interrupts and wait for the steam to be all gone only a few times has he ever said if possible can you lower your voice due to location; than lets work together and find a solution, than he will always ask if i want a glass of water the man has a heart of gold and an extreme amount of caring for his kids yes when they enter his school he treats like his own no boundaries money color clothes or status of parents in community. This student Dominic has been bullying my 14 year old son for the last 6 years. We have moved away for 2 years and as soon as we returned to St.Johns he started right back up bullying him. He has no right being in the middle school or standing near middle school students. If he was there to get on the bus then he should have gotten right on the bus..the buses are there waiting when school is released.
