I am a student at St. Johns Middle School and it doesn't make sense that Mr. Purves would do anything like that. He was a great vice principal and was only trying to protect the students at this school. I know Domanic, and he goes right into the group of kids who lie, bully, and think their all that. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he smokes with the other potheads at our school. The only students at SJMS that dont like Mr. Purves are the ones who get in trouble all the time, and if Mr. Purves did "swear" and "push him", you can be darn sure they deserved it.

I have a really hard time believing this was unprovocted. I think we are missing a little bit of this in our schools. I don't think it should be at the level that kids are affraid of our educators, but I think our educators should be able to still "put the kids in their place". It sure isn't happening at home. It takes a village, and educators are the adults many kids spend the most amount of time with. Of course PARENTS SHOULD BE PARENTING, but their isn't any reason educators shouldn't be able to "supplement" that discipline.

Hey annoyed. I don't think they are required to walk to the MS. The school will provide transportation there. Like on a different bus and then get off that one and on to the correct bus. So again why did he walk there? And why was he standing there and not on his bus? Sounds to me like to cause problems and who knows what for the walk! By the way it's "different" not "diff" there is no word "diff". And could it be that he treats those different because they don't act like the rest of the students? They cause problems so they do get treated differently.

So here is another kid that is being told by his parents (coddled) it is alright for the kid to lose his cool and swear at the principal and show no repsect, so we are going to press charges. What happens when your parents are dead kid - no one will be able to bail you out. I do not agree that the principal did what he did, but this kid needs a good kick in the a**! As well as the parents needing some sense slapped into them! A push as assault - show me the bruises! Ridorkulous parents raising future criminals!

I think Alyssa Fenske needs to go.

So Channel 10 tells the story of punk bullies who are mad at authority figures? You can guess where this kid will be in 10 years and what kind of parents he has. And reporter Alyssa Fenske… maybe you’re in the wrong business… you can’t even report a story fair… and you can’t even proof read. Maybe you should apply for a tabloid TV show.

If this kid is indeed a bully then bravo to Mr. Purvis. We all have read this book a thousand times. I'm sure this boy is just a little angel right? On the other hand..if the kid isn't...then other kids will eventually come out in his defense.

This student sounds like he has been in trouble many times. If I was a parent of a middle school student I would appauld the VP for kicking this kid out of the school. There is no reason for him to be there. The parents need to address the problem not cover it up by making the VP the fall guy.

everyone keeps asking why the high school student was at the middle school waiting for the bus well lets see here so many of the high school students have to walk to the middle school just to catch their bus since it dont go to the high school... so to answer that question and i am a parent of a high school student and a middle school student and i have had numerous problems with Pervis. he told my oldest to get off of middle school property or he was calling the cops and my son was picking up his lil brother. i have seen how Pervis is with alot of students and truth there are a few types of students that get treated alot diff then the rest i think they need to get rid of Pervis but thats just my opinion but i will not put my other child in the middle school if pervis is still there
