Couple Dies When Pickup Overturns

CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- Authorities say a southwestern Michigan couple have died in a pickup truck crash.

The crash happened Saturday afternoon.

According to the Kalamazoo County sheriff's department, the 48-year-old Galesburg residents were heading east when the pickup overturned near Interstate 94. The crash site is in Charleston Township, near Galesburg.

The National Weather Service says conditions were cold and windy at the time, with temperatures about 20 and some snow.

The department didn't immediately release the victims' names, saying it was trying to contact family members. No one answered the phone at the sheriff's department Sunday afternoon.
