Let's not get too upset over the price tag here. In Wisconsin, which had smaller protests than we did, they spent over $10 million in police costs. We spent less than a tenth of that with larger crowds and a larger police presence. Let's give the State Police some credit for keeping the costs low and doing such a good job.

This is total nonsense. What is the point of this story? Who cares how much it cost? What is your point media, that they should have cowered at home and surrendered to the Republican machine? Not to mention you hammed up the poor hot dog salesman who exaggerated his losses as if that was the story of the year (he was more then richly rewarded with donations) What about the loss to unions and peoples wallets? Media is allied with government in a biased way that insures they will not make waves or stir up trouble. Sorry but sometimes telling the truth will upset politicans and your sponsors. Stop catering and coddling them or you have no integrity

Perhaps we can recoup OUR money by eliminating some State employees -- $900,000 worth. After all, it is OUR money, and they are OUR employees, and we have a responsibility to live within OUR means.
