The state expects to have food assistance benefits loaded onto 85,000 Bridge Cards sometime Friday. A spokesman for the Department of Technology, Management and Budget says human error caused a glitch that prevented computers from loading all cards with account numbers ending in zero. The department is working to make sure this error won't be repeated. A spokesman released the following statement about the problems:

“DTMB understands the hardship that this situation has caused Michigan families and the inconvenience to the businesses that serve them. We are working around the clock to correct the problem as quickly as possible and we will determine why it occurred.”

Bridge Card holder can call the department's customer service number at 1-888-678-8914 for updates and additional information. Stay with News 10 and wilx.com for more details.
