My mom was a double amputee, no legs, and my dad was blind. I can not begin to tell you the problems we have had over the years due to the handicap parking problems. This is not a joke, and just imagine trying to push a wheelchair through ice and snow! Fun Times!!!. Anyone who thinks that we don't need this needs to spend a few days tied into a wheelchair, and needing help with everything.

wonderfully mature posting James...I'm surprised that WILX allowed you to post a threat like that.

Well put James! Nothing about being Handicapped or Mentally Impaired is entitling!! People with those issues have it hard. Name... People like you make me sick. I hope every where you go you have to park far away. If you are able bodied this shouldn't concern you, or be a bother to you.

PARKING FOR DISABLED PEOPLE IN CHAIRS, ETC IS NEEDED. I AM SICK OF GOING ANYPLACE AND SEEING HEALTHY SEEMING PEOPLE GET OUT OF CARS AND RUN INTO STORES WHILE SOMEONE WITH A SERIOUS HANDICAP IS LEFT DRIVING AROUND TRYING TO FIND A PLACE TO PARK. IT IS MORE THAN MSU.

To Name; you might feel differently if you were handicapped. If you were handicapped you probably would wish you were like a normal person and have the ability to walk and stand in line. Having to get someone in and out of vehicles can be difficult; this just adds one more step to getting to the facility. The reason for handicap spots is to make it easier for these people.

Why did this change? It was stated that they had been able to "pull into the parking lot, load and unload, and go into the game"....why did this become an issue? Who decided to stop this practise just because it meets the "American Disabilities Act."? Merry Freakin' Christmas!!!

So they have to wait to get priority to be taken to the handicap entrance and to their seats. Most of us have to walk the entire distance and do not get VIP treatment when entering the building. handicap does not mean entitled.

A well written story. Great job of reporting. Like it when they say it is legal, but don't make it right. Why put another hoop to jump through for those that was dealt a bad deck in life. I hate to think that those spaces are being use for perks for high donors or other reasons. Just does not sound like my MSU.
