Dearborn Man Charged in Jackson County Homicide

A Dearborn man has been arraigned for killing another Dearborn man in Jackson County last weekend.

33 year old Michael Patrick-Murphy Hamilton is charged with six felonies in the shooting death of Robert Marcyan, including open murder, felony firearm, assault with intent to murder and two counts of motor vehicle theft.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says Hamilton shot Marcyan in the face while at Hamilton's father's house on Hardcastle Road in Norvell Township Saturday evening. Hamilton is also accused of assaulting Marcyan's brother and stealing their car.

After crashing that car, he stole another vehicle and was finally arrested after police threw stop-sticks on Austin Road.
