Take a drive down Jordyn Wieber's street in DeWitt and it is clear that the neighborhood has the fever.

Signs line the street in front of almost every house. The Wieber's next-door neighbors have put red, white and blue lights on their home and, across the street, one neighbor has built his own set of Olympic rings.

While there are no plans for neighborhood viewing parties, neighbors say everyone will be watching.

"Everybody loves to watch the Olympics, but this is definitely a highlight of it," said Jessica Smith, Wieber's neighbor of 15 years. "It's just a lot more great to be able to see somebody you've known be able to excel this much and go so far."

But while her neighborhood doesn't have any official viewing plans, other venues around DeWitt do. Relli's sports bar is having specials every night Wieber competes.

"We'll have 99 cent kids' meals and drink specials for adults," said John Coscarelli, Relli's owner. "Anyone who comes in with a Wieber Fever-type t-shirt will get ten percent off of their bill."

Jordyn's church, Catholic Community of St. Jude, says they will also have their own viewing parties for parishioners on competition nights.

"We feel like Jordyn is our kid," said Terry Humenik of St. Jude. "We'll enjoy Jordyn's success and the rest of the team's success together."
