Police Investigating Sexual Assault in Lansing

Police are investigating a sexual assault in Lansing. It happened around 12:30am Friday in Adado Riverfront Park. According to an alert sent by Lansing Community College to staff and students, the woman called police from the circle drive emergency phone to report that she was raped. She told police she was walking on the eastside of Grand Avenue in the park when she was forced into the restrooms on the north end of the park and raped.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a shirt with horizontal stripes, white shorts, black socks and black sandals. Lansing police tell us the suspect also has a chipped front tooth.

Lansing Community College Police assisted with the search for the suspect and will continue to assist them with the investigation.
