Ingham County Animal Control is hoping cash will help catch an animal abuser.

A 12-week old Siberian Husky male with blue eyes was found by caretakers at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Monday, May 14.

The dog was wearing a blue harness that had grown into his shoulder area.

It also has several skin infections and open woulds that would have occurred over a long period of time to get him in the stage he's in.

The animal control officer that responded to the cemetery says the dog was a shell of skin and bones and his whole body was oozing from infection. "The poor guy would cringe in pain and whine when I tried to pick him up", said Animal Control Officer Juan Delatorre. "I've never seen anything as bad as this puppy was. No dog deserves this."

The dog, now known as "Odie", is slowly recovering at the Ingham County Animal Shelter. His recovery is going to be long, given the shape he was found in.

If anyone has information about the owners of this dog, please call 517-676-8370, extension 1. You can also leave an anonymous tip at 517-676-8376 or by emailing jmcaloon@ingham.org.
