N oone has how hard or how it effects the City wowrkers when given these furlough days. Twenty six days is nearly an entire months pay that we are going to do without. Is Virg taking an entire months pay from himself. And they are kind enough to take it only one day out of each paycheck but in one year it made a $5000.00 pay decrease. My city worker works their finger to the bone to make sure that he is there and works and is so under appreciated. Virg needs to get his act together and find some where else to take the money from instead of our family's pockets.
Here is an idea, based on what Virgie said. The city needs to start doing things differently...GET RID OF THE PRESENT MAYOR AND REPLACE HIM WITH COMPETENT ONE!
It is time to say to these unions, show us models that work on how to pay you guys that will not bankrupt the city. Lansing can not become another bankrupt city like flint, detroit and benton harbor.
