I was amazed that there is no help from any of the authorities in a missing person report. We arrived to try to find the search teams non existent and looked ourselves while family friends tried to round up a search team. In the meantime, I found him, and sadly, he had expired.

Robert Muethel was found earlier today. Eaton Country Sheriffs Dept. can confirm. Unfortunately, Mr. Muethel was not found alive, but he was found by family friends who went looking for him. Arrangements to be announced soon.

Bryan, the missing person in question is in the Lansing/Eaton County area which also has an all volunteer search/rescue team. The police are also very capable of searching.. which they are most definitely doing in this case. If you are going to bring search and rescue from Battle Creek, you might as well bring in search and rescue from Detroit, Grand Rapids, Los Angeles, New York...actually, lets get some unmanned drones up too. Black Hawk helecopters with flir night vision.. heck, lets get the entire army involved! The point I am making here Bryan is thay the Lansing/ Eaton County volunteer search and rescue team and the local police and sherriff's office along with citizen volunteers are fully capable of searching for this man without having to rely on some out of town random volunteer search and rescue team that you just happen to know about( that isn't even located anywhere near where this man is missing) They don't call for their help Brian because they don't need their help, hence the reason why you don't hear about them helping. Again, the man who is missing is from Delta Township..not southwest Michigan. Anyway, I hope they find this man quickly.

i personally drove around looking for him when I got the nixle alert. I had a very close family member with this combination of diseases, and it's a very tricky thing to handle if you don't have experience with it. Unfortunately, I didn't see him. I sure hope he's okay.

Perhaps that's because they have their own highly trained SAR team as well as access to additional trained and credentialed resources closer than Battle Creek or Kent County?

Has this man been found or are they still looking?
