UPDATE: Suspect in Multiple Jackson Armed Robberies Arrested

JACKSON -- The Jackson County Sheriffs Office and Jackson Police have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with multiple armed robberies in the area.

The Jackson man was taken into custody Friday at 5:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Chittock Street and lodged him in the Jackson County Jail.

The suspect could face charges of armed robbery and other counts related to those crimes.

There have been five armed robberies in the area since Sunday: Josie's Takeout, Tate's Takeout, Admiral gas station, and Corner's Party Store twice.

Officials think this man could be behind all of them. His name won't be released until he's arraigned.
