Runners, walkers and lots of pink will make an appearance at the Capitol Sunday for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure.
The 5K run/walk raises money for breast cancer research and awareness.
Sunday marks its 10th anniversary in Lansing.
Earlier this week, volunteers prepared by tying pink ribbons downtown. Many of those were tributs to breast cancer survivors or memorials to those who've lost their battle.
"It's not about the event it's about what we do with the dollars that are raised from this event to honor those people that have been lost and to put services into the community where others wouldn't have access to them by funding local programs," Chris Pearson, with the Mid-Michigan Chapter of Susan G Komen said.
Registration for the 5K begins at 11 a.m. the race kicks off at 2 p.m.
