LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Hundreds have gathered at the University of Southern California for a candlelight vigil in memory of two Chinese graduate students who were shot to death near campus. Dean of Religious Life Varun Soni opened the ceremony Wednesday night, saying the hearts of the Trojan family are broken. Votive candles in the shape of a heart and white roses and lilies sat at the foot of the Tommy Trojan statue where grieving students and faculty gathered for the vigil. Ying Wu and Ming Qu were shot and killed about 1 a.m. Wednesday as they sat in a car near the school Police don't yet have a suspect or motive but say it may have been a robbery or carjacking attempt.
