The MSU and Michigan game on Tuesday night is historic considering it's the first time the teams play each other while ranked in the top 10. Some Spartan fans lined up outside the Breslin Center as early as 6 a.m. hoping to get the best seats in the Izzone.

'It's probably the game of the year and many years to come," said MSU Sophomore Hayden May.

Wolverine and Spartan spirit was at the max. MSU Assistant Athletic Director Scot Schlesinger says the in-state competition brings out the best in the teams and the fans.

"There will be a majority of Spartan fans, for basketball there's not a lot of visiting tickets. Everybody is very excited, we're encouraging fans to wear white to tonight's game, promoting it as a whiteout," said Schlesinger.

He says the game is sold out, which means 15,000 people will be watching in the stadium. Those who didn't get tickets said they'll still be tuning in.

"At my apartment, screaming and annoying my neigbors probably, cheering at the TV," said MSU Senior Kelsey Craig.
