WARREN -- Authorities say a reported explosion involving a battery has injured two people at a General Motors Co. research facility in suburban Detroit. City of Warren Fire Chief Dave Frederick says crews were called to the GM Tech Center on Wednesday morning following a report of an explosion involving a lithium battery. Frederick says two people were taken for treatment and a fire at the facility was put out. He says he didn't have details about the extent of the injuries.
