GOP Superdelegates: It's Over, Romney Is Nominee

Reporter: Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) -- It's over, and Mitt Romney is going to be the GOP nominee for president.
That's the growing consensus among Republican National Committee members who will automatically attend the party's national convention this summer and can support any candidate they choose.
Even RNC members who support other candidates say the math doesn't add up for anyone but the former Massachusetts governor.
Romney's chief rival, Rick Santorum, is vowing to stay in the race, hoping a win in his home state's primary will give new life to his campaign. But Santorum is far behind Romney in the race for delegates and RNC members are taking notice.
A new Associated Press poll of RNC delegates shows Romney with 35 endorsements, Newt Gingrich with four, Santorum with two and Ron Paul with one.
