A Michigan State Police detective is pleading "not guilty" to a contempt of court charge in connection with the Matthew Macon case.

The Lansing State Journal quoted Lieutenant Jaime Corona as saying Macon confessed to the murder of Lansing Community College professor Carolyn Kronenberg.

Macon's attorney says that violates a court issued gag order in the Macon case.

Corona could get 93 days in jail or a $7500 fine if convicted.

WAVERLY IS TRYING TO CLOSE DOWN N.E.C ALTERATIVE SCHOOL FOR TEENS. IT HAS BEEN OPEN FOR TWENTY THREE YEARS, HELPING LANSING STUDENTS. IF THEY CLOSE IT DOWN, WHERE ARE THESE KIDS GOING TO GO. LANSING HILL CENTER HAS CUT SOME OF THERE PROGRAMING. MOST OF THE LANSING KIDS THAT ATTEND N.E.C. DOES NOT LIKE THE LANSING SCHOOL DISTRICT? WITH NO FUNDING FOR REPAIRS N.E.C WILL PROBABLY CLOSE FOR GOOD OR MOVE TO POTTERVILLE. I KNOW MOST IF NOT ALL LANSING STUDENTS CAN'T MAKE IT TO POTTERVILLE. I GUESS LANSING WILL END UP A DESERTED PLACE BECAUSE IF THEY KEEP CUTTING JOBS,SCHOOLING AND CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES. ALL THE LASTEST ROBBERIES AND HOMICIDES YOU REALLY HAVE TO ASK YOURSELF IS IT REALLY WORTH LIVING HERE?
