Matthew Emmanuel Macon is expected to be charged in connection with one or more of the five recent murders of women. He's also charged with third degree home invasion.

Macon was paroled on June 26th. That's month before Ruth Hallman was attacked in her home.

Macon has not been charged with any of the murders at this time. The prosecutors office is reviewing the evidence.

Excuse me, but just because he's not on a sex offender list, doesn't mean he is a sex offender. It means, that this is his first time being caught, but instead of being caught once, he is being caught multiple times. I mean, I know I'm just a kid writing something on here, but don't be so closed minded about it. It just means he hasn't been caught yet.

This guy does not fit the profile. He sounds like a petty, violent thief but not a serial killer. Notice he was never charged with murder in his life, even as a juvenile.

OK good job if you have found the correct man. I don't know if it is just me or my eyes but the two pics of what you say is the same man are different men and not the same one . Though they share similarties of each other one is darker and has more of a spread nose . I dont know if its just me but I don't beleive that it is the same man! maybe it's a family member but like I said good job if its him! The sketch was not a good description as well cause they he dont look like the sketch . All african american people Do Not Look Alike .

Thanks to Gov. Granholm and the early release initiative, several women are now dead, one of whom I've known for 25 years. Macon was a violent offender, and released early with 27 conditions of parole, all of which make it clear he was a violent sex offender. But, hey, his early release saved the state a little money, and the Governor didn't have to look at the results in the funeral home, so I doubt she lost any sleep. Good job, Jennifer. The sad part is this isn't even the first time something like this has gone very wrong with early release, but as long as the state saves a dollar, it won't stop, at the expense of human lives.

Well, it's a shame that a tragedy like this has to happen. But as long as liberals run the state, convicted felons will just commit a crime and say no big deal going to prison. They can't kill me and when the budget is in a mess, they will let me out early. Better health care and even get air conditioning when it is hot, better then the working class of people. Great Job to all the Police agencies, you did your job, now it's time the stat does thiers.

Good job GOV. Macon just released 6/2007 . I checked the public sex offender registry but Macon is not in the Public Registry, something needs to change for the public to know and view this person as a sex offender. If he is not listed in the public sex offender registry. It means he was a juvenile when he commited the sex crime no matter how old the victim.and it just goes to show you about sex offenders. Good JOB Lansing Police, MSP, FBI, Ingham County Pros and the strong victims and family. No thanks to the GOV and the parole Board who did it again. how many more victims.
