DAYTON, Ohio (AP) -- A Northwest Airlines plane bound for Detroit has made an emergency landing at Dayton International Airport, interrupting the city's air show.
Northwest spokeswoman Leslie Parker says in an e-mail message the Boeing 757 was en route Sunday from Tampa, Fla., to Detroit Metropolitan Airport when a computer for one of its engines failed.
She says the computer failure prompted the crew to shut down the engine and land as a precaution.
Nobody was injured. Six crew members and 182 passengers were on board.
The Dayton Air Show at the airport was halted while the plane landed but resumed less than an hour later.
