Americans might be worrying about gasoline prices topping the 4-dollar mark. But Canadians are already paying that much and more.
The Canadian Press reports that the average price of gas across Canada today was a dollar and 14-cents per liter. That works out to about 4-32 per gallon in U.S. dollars.
The average price in the U.S. was 3-dollars and 29-cents.
The Energy Department expects gas prices to peak near 3-50 a gallon later in the spring.
Canadian analysts predict gas prices could reach a dollar-50 a liter in parts of that country in coming months. That's the equivalent of more than 5-65 a gallon in U.S. dollars.
