ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- An Amtrak train struck and killed a woman walking along the tracks in Ann Arbor.
Washtenaw County Sheriff Dan Minzey says the woman was walking westbound next to the tracks and drifted over in front of the oncoming train as she faced it. The engineers told police that they blew the train's horn and whistle to alert the woman, but she walked in front of it.
The Ann Arbor News says the eastbound Amtrak train was headed to Detroit from Chicago.
The 51-year-old woman has been identified as Theresa Goldie of Ann Arbor.

Yeah, I know that Ann Arborsites had been ignoring trains round of Ann Arbor. I watched the people walk illegal trespassing on the track from Delhi Park, Barton Park, Bandemer Park and Gallup Park. Norfolk Southern had put the sign “NO Trespass on the Railroad many posts on Michigan Lines.
