Target is recalling 350,000 "Happy Giddy Gardening Tools" and "Sunny Patch Children's Chairs" because they may be coated with dangerous amounts of lead paint. They were sold in Target stores nationwide between August 2006 and August 2007.

RC2 is recalling five toys from the "Thomas & Friends" line for the same reason. They are:

All-Black Cargo Car
Toad Vehicle With Brake Lever
Olive Green Sodor Cargo Box
All-Green Maple Tree Top
Green Signal Base

is this what we have to look forward to on a full time basis?what can we buy for the kids that we won't have to be returned?what is safe to eat for humans or animals?are all these mistakes made to hurry up and get stuff to market,or to keep wages down, someone not doing their job?it is bad enough our jobs went over seas.now certain compaines seem to be loosing credibility of these products, and bush says he's working with china and it will be alright.we can't blame china? why?none of this makes sense to put people in the back and forth to stores to RETURN recalls or to have to take toys away from children.I'd really like to see our compaines come back here, even if products would cost us more.we know how lead is dangergous.I'm concerned how these products are disposed of.do they end up in landfills and does the lead go into the ground?this is a nightmare we'd like to end.
