One woman has died as a result of an early morning accident on M-50.
The Napoleon Township Police Department says the woman was riding on the back of a 1987 blue Harley Davidson motorcycle that was rear-ended by a 1998 Oldsmobile 88 around 12:15 a.m.
Details are still a bit sketchy, according to Chief Michael Curry, but says both vehicles were eastbound near the Benton Road intersection.
The victim fell off the motorcycle and then died after being hit by a westbound silver Ford Focus.
Witnesses say the man driving the motorcycle, and the two people in the Oldsmobile ran from the scene, and have not been found.
Investigators are trying to identify the victim; she was not carrying any ID.
