Woman Charged with Alpha St. Murder

LANSING - Candice Ratrese Fundunburks, 34, of Lansing was charged with open murder Tuesday in the death of 27-year-old Jeremy Marshall. Marshall died Sunday, June 15th.

Police and the Lansing Fire Department were called to an apartment building in the 1900 block of Alpha Street in Lansing shortly after 4 a.m. They found Marshall seriously injured and rushed him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead when he arrived.

Fundunburks was arrested at the scene. Police are not releasing to the media yet how they believe Fundunburks killed Marshall or the nature of their relationship.

The judge did not allow bond for Fundunburks, and she remains jailed. Her next court hearing is scheduled for June 24th.
