DETROIT (AP) -- A suburban Detroit woman faces charges after police say trash bags found along the sides of roads contained her adult son's body parts.
Police in the suburb of St. Clair Shores say the 59-year-old woman was arrested Friday and faces murder and dismemberment charges. She hasn't been officially charged, and prosecutors are expected to review a warrant Monday.
Sgt. Jay Cohoe confirmed to the Port Huron Times Herald that the St. Clair Shores woman is the mother of the 32-year-old victim. The Associated Press couldn't reach Cohoe for comment Saturday.
The victim was reported missing Jan. 26 and identified through fingerprints. His remains were found Thursday about 50 miles northeast of Detroit in St. Clair and China townships after someone reported seeing a woman dumping trash bags along a roadway.
