We now know when crews plan to break ground on a new organic grocery store in Meridian Township.
Developer A&G, LLC., Wolverine Building Group and architect BRR Architecture will begin constructing the Whole Foods Market in mid-April. It is expected to be finished before the end of the year.
“Whole Foods will be a welcome addition to the Lansing area,” says Wolverine’s project manager Jim Reyers. “This facility will provide residents with opportunities to purchase organic produce and a variety of other healthy options, year round.”
The Meridian Township location will be the 6th Michigan location for the grocery chain. It will feature a salad bar, pub and coffee bar, cafeteria and an outdoor seating space with a fireplace. It will be located on Grand River Avenue, between Hagadorn and Park Lake Roads, in a plaza that used to house Velocipede Peddler and Mobile Home Manor.
