Dr. Dennis Perry at Meridian Primary Care in Okemos, a partner of McLaren Greater Lansing, is treating seasonal allergies this week.

Symptoms include: runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, coughing, itchy eyes and nose, and dark circles under the eyes.

Avoiding allergens is key. Stay indoors on dry, windy days; remove and wash clothes you've worn outside; don't hang laundry outside, and use clean filters in your air conditioner.

Using eye drops and taking antihistamines may help relieve symptoms.

Check with your doctor before treating allergy symptoms. If you or your child has asthma, follow your prescribed treatment regimen.
