Weather is putting a construction project in Meridian Township on hold. Work on the Van Atta bridge started three-to-four weeks late because of cold temperatures in January. Now it's now even further behind because of high water in the Red Cedar River. The Ingham County Road Department was at the bridge Wednesday. A spokesman told wilx.com the water has receded enough for crews to get back to work Monday. It hopes to have the bridge open by July.
