MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) -- Prosecutors in West Michigan's Muskegon County have authorized an arrest warrant for the driver of a minivan that backed into a stroller carrying an 18-month-old boy.
MLive.com reports that the warrant was issued Friday and charges the 20-year-old motorist with leaving the scene of an injury accident and driving without ever applying for a license. Both charges are misdemeanors.
His name has not been released. Police say a 17-year-old passenger in the van was arrested Friday on unrelated charges.
A surveillance camera outside a Muskegon business captured images of the June 25 incident. The boy's mother was pushing the stroller in a store parking lot when it was hit by the minivan. The driver stopped briefly before driving away.
The boy was not hurt.
