Warming Centers Open in Lansing

By  |

The National Weather Service forecasts that the Lansing area should expect 2 to 4 inches of snow with periods of whiteouts due to high wind conditions. Wind chills of -20 to -30 degrees are possible and can cause frostbite from exposure in less than 30 minutes. This weather can cause drifting and dangerous driving conditions.

Downed power lines caused by strong and gusting winds are possible. Please stay at least 25 feet away from downed power lines. BWL customers should report power outages and downed lines by calling 877-295-5001.

Please do not go outside in these weather conditions unless absolutely necessary. The safest place is indoors, out of the wind.
