LANSING - There are now a total of 107 Red Cross relief workers from Michigan helping people impacted by Hurricane Isaac.
Red Cross workers from Michigan have mobilized emergency response vehicles, placed dozens of shelters on standby, readied mobile kitchens and prepared more than 50 truckloads of relief supplies.
The Mid-Michigan Chapter says they need volunteers for the next disaster. Volunteers need to be trained by Red Cross instructors. The classes are free. The next class is Saturday, September 15, 2012 at the Mid-Michigan Chapter, 1800 E. Grand River Avenue, Lansing, MI (across from Groesbeck Golf Course).
