One of the 12 killed in the shootings at a Aurora, Colorado movie theater was Jessica Ghawi of Lansing.
It is confirmed on the Malesich and Shirey Funeral Home website she was born in Lansing in 1987, although she spent most of her life in Texas.
She was an aspiring sports journalist.
