A group of Michigan veterans hit the water in their kayaks Saturday, just for a little fun.
Team River Runner is a group of wounded veterans that paddles throughout the summer and fall. Originally from Washington D.C., founder Joe Mornini says he started the groups so that veterans could participate in a fun, physical activity, together. He said he's happy the way the groups and events have grown.
""I started team river runner with some friends of mine back in Washington D.C., at Walter Reed Army Medical Center ten years ago, Mornini said. "From that time,,it's been a few friends and a few paddlers in the D.C. area to over 45 chapters in the country."
A few dozen paddlers showed up in Eaton Rapids for the event Saturday.
