"As terrible as it, sounds it's easier then divorcing him, I didn't have to worry about the judgment of my family. I didn't have to worry about breaking his heart."
A West Michigan woman wakes up in a jail cell this morning, after pleading guilty to hiring a hit-man to kill her husband. The hit-man was actually an undercover cop. The sting was set up on Julia Merfeld of Muskegon, after a co-worker tipped off police.
Authorities released the undercover police footage, which they say proves Merfeld wanted her husband dead. Merfeld was arrested shortly after. She pleaded guilty and was ordered to remain in jail ahead of her sentencing on July 30th. Her husband says he does not want her to receive any jail time.
