Update: 9th Lansing Shooting Incident in 8 Days

LANSING - A 54-year-old man is the latest victim in the 9th shooting incident reported in Lansing in the past 8 days.

The shooting took place at an apartment in the 2500 block of Reo Road on the city's south side at about 10:45p.m. Thursday.

Police say the man was rushed to the hospital, but has non-life-threatening injuries. No arrest has been made.

Police say witnesses told them a man ran up to the front of the building and fired a handgun.

Police continue to investigate. Investigators do not believe it is related to other recent shootings in the city.

More information should be available later this afternoon.
