Laingsburg Teen Killed in U.S. 127 Accident

19-year-old Zachary Clark of Laingsburg was killed in a morning accident that snarled U.S. 127 traffic for hours. Clark was driving a Jeep Cherokee. His passenger, 19-year-old Logan Winn was taken to Sparrow hospital and police say his injuries are life-threatening.

Police tell us the Jeep Cherokee went out of control at around 6:30 a.m., as it was traveling southbound near the Frandor area. The Jeep rolled through the median and came to rest in the northbound lanes.

Both directions of U.S.-127 were closed for 4 hours, while accident reconstruction crew examined the scene and the the vehicle and debris were removed.

The accident remains under investigation. Anyone who witnessed this accident is asked to call the Lansing Township Police at 517-485-1700.
