ALBION -- The Albion Public Safety Department is on the hunt for Brian Bradley, the man suspected of shooting a man Sunday in broad daylight.

Bradley fled the scene of the shooting, according to officials, after shooting a 20-year-old man in the 300 block of W. Cass Street at 6 p.m. Sunday.

That's just blocks from the public safety building.

A detective heard the gunshots and pursued Bradley but lost him.

The victim, who is in serious condition, told authorities Bradley is the one who shot him, according to Chief Scott Kipp.

Bradley is originally from Albion, but has connections in Lansing.

This is the second shooting on Cass Street in less than 48 hours. Thirty-three-year-old Juan Tyler Riddle was shot to death Friday night on the 100 block of E. Cass.

Twenty-year-old James Kimple of Albion was arraigned Monday in connection with that shooting. Kipp says Kimple turned himself in.
