UPDATE: Person Arrested in Pine Street Homicide Case

Lansing Police detectives have arrested a 21-year-old male from Lansing in connection with the homicide of Anthony Kye. The suspect is being held at the Lansing Police Detention Unit pending a review of possible charges that could be filed by the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office on Friday.


Lansing Police have confirmed that persons of interest in a homicide investigation were detained after a traffic stop Thursday afternoon. 35-year-old Anthony Karlton Kye was shot and killed in Lansing early Wednesday in the 600 block of Pine Street near Saginaw Street.

Police stopped a black Dodge Charger on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. near Dorchester Circle shortly after 1 o'clock. At that time the individuals were detained.

They were transported to the Lansing Police Department Investigations to be interviewed by detectives. At this time no one has been arrested or charged with any crime. Watch News 10 and check WILX.com for further information and updates.
