UPDATE: Jackson Oil Spill Cleanup Nearly Finished

The oil spill in Jackson should be all cleaned up for the Memorial Day weekend. Wastewater treatment plant workers tell wilx.com most of the cleanup would be finished Friday night. The environmental cleanup firm spent the day washing the shore, rocks and grass along the Grand River. Four booms have been put up in various locations to keep what oil is left contained. It's estimated 800 gallons spilled into the river on Sunday night, but from where, is still unknown.
