The man who was found dead in a clothing bin on the 2900 block of S. Washington in Lansing has been identified by police.
Lansing Police found Phillip Ray Williams, age 53, stuck in the opening of a large metal donation bin located in a parking lot on Tuesday, May 13 around 10:30 PM.
Lansing Fire and rescue responded and were able to free the man by cutting the metal container. The man was unresponsive at the time that he was found, and was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital.
Preliminary findings in this case are that the death appears to be accidental and not suspicious in nature.
