Ingham County prosecutors have charged two women with stealing from tenants who were moving out of the condemned Life O'Riley trailer park in Lansing. They say Nancy Whitby and Catherline Jackson pretended to work for an organization helping people move into new homes when the city shut the trailer park down for health reasons including a sewage system failure. Witnesses told police Whitby and Jackson loaded up metal items from trailers and yards into a truck on March 8. Tenants surrounded the women and called police when they came back the next day. Both suspects are facing larceny charges and are due back in court April 7.
