Two men are in the Ingham County jail awaiting arraignment on armed robbery charges. They are accused of holding up the Dansville Gas Station in Dansville early Monday morning.
A sheriff's department spokesman say they went into the station at 978 Jackson Street in Jackson shortly after 5:00 a.m. One was armed with a shotgun.
They took cash from the register, ran out to a waiting car and drove off. A customer in the station was able to get a description of the car and gave it to Sheriff's deputies.
The car was found abandoned a couple of hours later at the intersection of Catholic Church and Williams Roads. A Michigan State Police tracking dog and a helicopter were called in to search a nearby field.
The suspects were found in the field and arrested.
One of the suspects is 22-years-old. The other is 20-years-old. Both are from the area.
Their arraignment is expected on Tuesday.
